On Dec. 8, leaders from Webcor, Wilson Meany, technology company Cosm, SoFi Stadium/Hollywood Park, and architect HKS celebrated breaking ground on Cosm at Hollywood Park with an official on-site ceremony.
Thanks in no small part to our team’s exceptional delivery of Hollywood Park Phase 1 for longtime client Wilson Meany, Webcor was awarded the core & shell/TI project in April 2022 and expects to deliver the full scope by Q3 2024. Click here for ABC 7’s live coverage of the groundbreaking ceremony.
“Cosm at Hollywood Park supports our LA-area focus on smaller projects, TI work, repeat work with great clients, and overall diversification while broadening our experience with fantastic design partners like HKS,” says Vice President Charles Chiparo.
Notable groundbreaking ceremony attendees included Jeb Terry, Cosm CEO (among other Cosm execs); James T. Butts, Mayor of Inglewood; Jason Gannon, managing director at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park; Mike McKown, head of retail development, design, and construction at Wilson Meany; and Niel Prunier, VP and project architect at HKS. Jeb Terry kicked off the ceremony with opening remarks before passing it off to Jason Gannon, who thanked Webcor and other key players of the Cosm project team for their dedicated efforts and shared vision for Cosm LA, then James T. Butts.
“I could not be prouder of the Webcor team,” Charles says. “This job has been fast-paced from the start with no slowdown in sight. Precon/Estimating and Operations have worked very well together, and both clients are pleased with our execution thus far.”
