The Newark Civic Center located in Newark, CA is a ground-up, type II-B steel commercial project. The square footage is distributed throughout three structures with one to two levels above grade. Surface parking totals 130,300 SF and includes 324 stalls.
This project transforms an existing administration building into a revitalized city hall featuring an administration tower upgrade, library expansion, and state-of-the-art police building addition. The library is roughly 10,000 SF larger than its predecessor and offers separate areas for teens and kids, in addition to a large meeting space and a maker space.
The new police building consolidates all station operations to a single facility and includes an emergency dispatch center and training facility. Finally, the project added a new public plaza/multi-function community event space.
Webcor self-performed concrete, drywall, and carpentry on the project.
Construction is what we do best - it’s no surprise that we live and breathe every aspect of construction.
