A temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO) was issued to the Cityview Oakland Waterfront Parcel J project on Dec. 20. "The owner has pre-leased several units, and the first tenant is moving in next weekend," says Senior Project Manager Arya Bodaghi.
Cityview Parcel J is a ground-up eight-story Type III, wood-framed residential structure atop a three-story Type IA concrete podium parking structure also featuring a podium-level pool. The project totals 471,374 SF and includes 378 residential dwelling units including a mix of studio, one, two and three-bedroom units, 420 parking spaces including 259 mechanized parking stalls, and 114 bike parking spaces. It includes common area amenities such as ground-floor lobbies with mailroom and leasing center, yoga and fitness rooms, business center, outdoor courtyards, and an elevated roof deck with lounge space and a dog park. Currently, the project's targeting LEED Gold Silver certification.
Of the building's 378 units, 160 were included in the TCO. "We still have a lot of units to punch with the owner and sign off with the inspector, " Arya says, noting he expects final completion of the project in mid-to-late February.
The project is a joint venture with James E. Roberts-Obayashi. Webcor self-performed concrete and carpentry.
